As we come through lockdown things will look a little different. Garvock House has been adapted for a Covid safe environment as the safety and well-being of our guests and staff is of utmost importance to us, and we are strictly adhering to government health & safety guidelines.
Our cleaning routines have been increased to ensure the highest standards of hygiene. Sanitisers and anti-viral products are being used.
Public Areas - The frequency of cleaning has increased in all areas with an emphasis on high contact surfaces such as tables, chairs, door handles, handrails, light switches, public bathrooms.
Bedrooms - Cleaning and sanitising will be carried out with an emphasis on high contact areas such as all furniture, furniture handles, clothes hangers, windows and locks, light switches, phones, remote controls, hair dryers, radiator thermostats, doors and handles. Glasses, mugs and spoons will all be removed and washed after each departure, regardless of whether or not they have been used. All unused items on our complimentary tea and coffee tray will be discarded. Bathrooms will be disinfected after each departure. All linen and towels will be removed from departure rooms, whether or not they have been used.
Restaurant and Bar - All dining tables and chairs will be sanitised after each use. Menus, salts and peppers, bud vases, pens and other reusable items will be sanitised after every use. Credit card terminals are sanitised after every use. Crockery, cutlery and glassware will be put through our dishwashers where they are washed and sanitised. Room Service Room Service can be provide. Room service trays will be delivered to the bedroom door. On finishing their meal, guests will be asked to place their tray outside their room and telephone reception to arrange collection.
Ventilation – After every service, each area is thoroughly ventilated.
Layout – Our restaurant, bar and terrace areas have been laid out to adhere to social distancing.
Our team - Every member of our team will receive training on COVID-19 health and safety protocols. All staff are temperature checked at the beginning of each shift and start times staggered wherever possible. Hand washing and hand sanitisation takes place at the beginning of each shift and regularly throughout each shift. All staff wear PPE in accordance with government guidelines.

Visiting the restaurant - Please sanitise your hands on arrival and wait to be seated by one of our team. You will be shown straight to your table where you will be served.
We would kindly ask you to respect other guests and adhere to social distancing.
Please pay at the bar and use contact-less payment, where possible.
Feeling unwell? If you have any coronavirus symptoms before your visit – fever, continuous cough, loss of taste or smell, or have been asked to self-isolate or recently arrived from a restricted country, please stay at home. We will happily reschedule your stay.
It is possible you could develop symptoms after you arrive at Garvock House. If so, please inform reception you feel unwell as soon as possible, and maintain your distance from any of our team or other guests. If you can leave, we will ask you to return home immediately. If this is not possible (for instance, if you are too unwell to drive) we will ask you to self-isolate in your room. We will contact NHS Scotland for the most current recommended next actions, including assisting them with their Test and Trace programme.
